    1. AJ is right in her comment. These were marked at the garden as being from South Africa and their actual name are lithops. This was my first time coming across them and only two were blooming. If it hadn’t been for them, I would have probably walked right past them, thinking they were just little rocks.

        1. Yep, I’m South African, grew up in the Western Cape… Lithops grow naturally in the more arid regions to the north of Cape Town…
          (We live in Ireland now but I think I’ll get them to grow indoors!!)
