Left Behind in the Snow

As I walked along the trail, I tried to picture who had gone before me by the footprints left behind in the snow.

    1. Thanks, Anita. This is one of my favorite spots but it can be treacherous in the winter. The creek overflows onto the trails at times and then can get icy and slick especially on the boardwalks.

        1. I promise I am careful, Anita. A large part of the trails at this location get lots of ice in the winter and I often turn around and backtrack rather than take a chance on icy patches. I’ve learned my lesson the hard way. 😉 No worries, right now. I was out there today and most of the snow has melted. Now we have a wet, muddy mess.

    1. You are sweet, Jo. 😊 It has warmed up enough over the last couple of day to melt a lot of the snow. Encountered some deer and lots of squirrels today and they seemed just fine.
