Lost in the Rainforest

As I thought back to my short time of adventure in El Yunque National Rainforest, I wondered how many people get so distracted by the beauty of mountain after mountain of tall trees and the calls of birds and tree frogs that they end up getting lost in the rainforest.

For anyone with such a lack of a sense of direction as myself, it would be so easy to do just that.  Get distracted and lost!  For a little while at least, it might feel like I was lost in paradise.

    1. Glad you agree because I literally have no sense of direction at all. Zilch! Without my Make My Hike app on my phone, I’d be lost on every trail, every day. 😕

  1. Beautiful and true. Have you ever explored the deeper recesses of the Blue Ridge mountains? Beautiful as well with the same ability to get lost. I would love to explore the back beauties of Hawaii, with its waterfalls and rain forest like atmosphere.

    1. Nope, have not had a chance to explore the Blue Ridge mountains yet. Hope to get there one day. I have been on the trails through the bamboo forest in Maui all the way up to a waterfall that was amazing! 😊
