Wish I could have been as close as it seems like in the shot but don’t let it fool you. πŸ˜‰ I had just been taking pics of the blue heron nesting area so I still had my larger zoom lens on my camera. Not sure I would have wanted to get much closer than I did just in case the mom showed up. She probably would have been a bit protective.

      The one thing I did do was get down on my knees to get a closer angle but at least one foot was still on the actual trail. Okay, maybe a toe and not the entire foot. 😁


    1. Wish I knew where the mom was and that the fawn was okay after we left. My daughter and I were hiking along this trail when we spotted another hiker looking intently into the woods. As he walked away, we also stopped and tried to figure out what he had seen. That is when my daughter spotted the fawn. 😊
