Sunshine’s Macro Monday #27

Welcome to Sunshine’s Macro Monday #27

Can’t believe it is already February and spring is just around the corner.  You know what that means for those of us who love macro photography, right?  The time to photograph the buds of spring is getting so very close!  For now, I captured some tall grass being tossed about in the wind.

What about you?  Add your pingback or link to the comments below.  Looking forward to enjoying all your beautiful macro/close-up images the whole week long.

What is macro photography?  Basically, macro photography is capturing small subjects with larger than life results. A true macro shot could be anything magnified at a ratio of 1:1 or higher.  For the purpose of this challenge, we will not be strict with the 1:1 rule.  I am more interested in people having fun looking for the details, whether it is true macro or close-up photography.  A macro lens is not a must.  Great results can be obtained with whatever zoom lens and camera is on hand.

Everyone is welcome to join in with one or more macro or close-up shots each week.  Create a pingback or add a link in the comment section below. Even though this is a Macro Monday Challenge, feel free to post your macro shots any time through the week.

  3. Hopefully my pingback will show up. Your grass still has it’s beauty!
I was shocked to find a wealth of flowers on my walk on Saturday. I already posted some flowers, but saved my Hoverfly for Macro Monday 😊 I was shocked that so many plants were flowering in our area. It is supposed to freeze tonight, so some of the flowering “weeds” may die out ☹ However, in a few weeks we should be showered with fields of wild flowers! Spring comes early in the desert!

    1. Got it and so glad it came through. Love your image for this week. Thanks for saving it for Macro Monday. 😊 We have had an extremely mild winter in the Midwest so far. Ready for flowers and an early spring.
