What can be agonizing for some, may be the greatest of adventures for others. Macro photography fits into that pigeonhole. Scrutinizing the smallest of details by getting up close and bringing it to life in a photograph. That, for me is a delight! My macro lens seems to be the one that remains on my camera most of the time. With that being said, a macro lens is not a must. Great results can be obtained with whatever zoom lens is on hand.
What is macro photography a person might ask. A quick description of macro photography may be capturing small subjects with larger than life results. A true macro shot could be anything magnified at a ratio of 1:1 or higher. For the purpose of this challenge, we will not be strict with the 1:1 rule. I am more interested in people having fun looking for the details, whether it is true macro or just close-up photography.
Sunshine’s Macro Monday is a one day challenge without prompts. I will post a Sunshine’s Macro Monday post each Monday, just after midnight Central Time (US). Title your post however you like but use the tag SMM and mention Sunshine’s Macro Monday somewhere on your post. Create a pingback or add a link in the comment section of that week’s post. Post one or several photos each Monday. Got questions? Leave a comment with your question and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
